cake care + storage
We’ve put together some tips and advice for storing your Made by M. sweets!
cake storage
Refrigerate your cake immediately after pickup/delivery. Before serving, bring the cake to room temperature, about 1-2 hours out of the fridge, for the best flavor and texture.
Your cake should be displayed in an air conditioned environment. Never display your cake in direct sunlight or heat. If the room is too warm, the cake is likely to become soft and melt. If this happens, place the cake back in the fridge and let it firm up.
Store leftover cake in the fridge in an airtight container or plastic wrap, and eat within 4 days for optimal freshness. Leftover cake can also be frozen for up to 3 months. Before serving, defrost your cake in the fridge overnight, and then bring to room temperature.
